When you think about yourself as a healthy person, what comes to mind?

Culture + Health asks the question “what do you think it means to be healthy?” to people from across the world, interested in how cultural identities play a role in our personal conceptions of individual and community health. We adhere to the principles of interdisciplinarity, seeking methodologies and voices from across disciplines, appreciating the intersectionality of ideas. We are curious to discover if within our diversity, there exists a universal definition of health from which we can come together to build more inclusive, connected and respectful approaches to healthcare around the world.

Our Goals:

Identifying Trends

As engagement increases, we look to identify trends in global concepts of personal health.

Promoting Conversations

We aim to promote a culture of mutual sharing, open learning, and curiosity-driven engagement.

Equalizing Ideas

We strive to give space and importance to all forms of dialogue and the ideas they communicate.
